New Study Finds Hypertension, Diabetes, and Anxiety To Be Among the Top 10 Conditions Treated With Telehealth

In case you missed it, the latest #TelehealthTuesday from the Partnership to Advance Virtual Care (PAVC) finds that telehealth services were used to treat numerous conditions among Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries in 2021. Hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea, and diabetes were the most common virtual treatments. Behavioral health needs were also among the top ten, including treatment for generalized anxiety disorder and depression.

This week’s graphic shows that treatment for chronic and behavioral health is a popular area for telehealth use, highlighting the support that telehealth provides for patients who must attend regular appointments to keep up with their care needs.
