TAFA: As Telehealth Flexibility Deadline Looms, Congress Must Urgently Avert End-of-Year Telehealth Cliff

Dec 18, 2024

Lawmakers Cannot Allow Millions of Patients, Including Seniors, to Suddenly Lose Access to Critical Virtual Care

Washington, D.C. – Telehealth Access for America (TAFA) issued the following statement Wednesday calling for urgent action to protect virtual care as current Medicare telehealth flexibilities are set to expire on December 31, 2024.

“In just 13 days, the Medicare telehealth flexibilities that millions of patients rely on will expire. To avoid damaging and sudden disruptions to care and to ensure patients, including America’s seniors, can continue to access virtual care, Congress must act now to avert the end-of-year telehealth cliff,” said TAFA executive director Alye Mlinar.
