TAFA Commends House Lawmakers for Passage of Two-Year Extension of Critical Telehealth Flexibilities
Encourages Members of Congress in Both Chambers to Work in Bipartisan Fashion to Safeguard Access to Virtual Care for Millions of Patients
Washington, D.C – Telehealth Access for America (TAFA) issued the following statement in response to the U.S. House passage of the bipartisan Advancing Telehealth Beyond COVID-19 Act of 2022.
“As patients continue to face uncertainty about their future access to critical telehealth services, we commend leaders in the House for taking a major step forward to safeguard that access,” said TAFA spokesperson Julia Mirich. “We encourage lawmakers in both chambers to work together in a spirit of bipartisan collaboration to pass solutions into law that will ensure access to virtual care is safeguarded for the millions of patients who have come to rely on telehealth during the pandemic, including seniors, rural households, and underserved communities.”
