Campaign Grows to More Than 35 Member Organizations, Adding to Bipartisan Momentum for Urgent Virtual Care Protections

Washington, D.C. – Telehealth Access for America (TAFA) has welcomed 15 new members since the beginning of 2024, reflecting TAFA’s continued growth as an advocate for virtual care protections and the overwhelming support from leaders across the health care industry to safeguard telehealth access. The campaign’s growth comes as bipartisan momentum to protect Medicare telehealth flexibilities on Capitol Hill continues to build ahead of the expiration of current flexibilities at the end of this year.

“The nearly doubling of our membership since the start of the year is a testament to the broad and significant support from both patients and providers to protect access to virtual care,” said TAFA Executive Director Alye Mlinar. “Since the pandemic, millions of patients have come to rely on the expanded access to telehealth. We have seen the tremendous benefits it brings—increased access to care, better health outcomes, and cost savings. But providers need certainty to continue to invest in innovative ways to improve patient care through telehealth. We continue to call on Congress to protect telehealth access for as long as possible – and at least two years – without unnecessary restrictions”

TAFA member additions this year include:

The newest members add to the campaign’s existing broad-based and diverse membership of health care leaders committed to permanent solutions to safeguard access to telehealth, including AARP, American Hospital Association, American Heart Association, American Medical Association, Ascension, Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), AiArthritis, Arthritis Foundation, Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, Catholic Health Association of the United States, Eating Disorders Coalition, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Teladoc Health and others.
