The panel shared insights on the critical value of telehealth for consumers and discussed how access to virtual care, made possible by flexibilities first issued during the pandemic and extended by Congress in 2022, is at risk. Panelists highlighted the urgency for lawmakers to enact permanent protections for access to virtual care, without onerous restrictions, to avert a potential telehealth cliff for millions of patients, as these flexibilities are set to expire at the end of the year.
